Birthday Party Pics!

As promised, finally here are some party pics!

Devin's sister, Deanna, and her boyfriend George, flew in from Maine to attend. Isn't that awesome? Lily kept calling George "My George" and seriously bonded with him. We are lucky that Aunt "Deeena" works for the airline and can come visit often! Deanna and George defanitely won the prize for the furthest travellers, but they were given stiff competition from Devin's mom who drove 6 hours from Morehead City, and the Pittman Family who drove it from Durham (they get bonus points for travelling with 2 under 3!

At first, Lily was kind of confused and overwhelmed by the influx of people. She stood and chewed on her fingers and took the scene in for probably the first 30 minutes or so

...and then she switched into party mode!

We had SO MANY guests, it was incredible! I think the grand total was 38 including family! It was unbeleivable! I cannot count my blessings enough, Lily is so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family.

Lily was bound and determined to ruin her sweet outfit, one way or another. For instance, jumping on a trampoline that leaves black marks over anything light colored (hence the missing tights)...

Or sitting on the swing the outdoor swing....

And then by playing on the swingset that has been in my Mom's yard since the dawn of time...

And if that wasn't enough -- starting a grass fight with her guests!

Yes, it was a dirty affair, but the kids seems to have a blast and I'm hoping I can wash the cake, grass, trampoline dust, and swingset rust out of the dress~!

But, really, I wouldn't have had it any other way. The party was a huge success!

Present time (we had lots of helpers!)

Cake Time -- she did much better this year. She ate mostly with a fork and refused to make a mess. She actually saw her picture from last year and admonished the image of herself, saying it was "Messy! Messy!"
